Around this time last year, we conducted a review of the best golf club cleaning brushes. Since that review, Caddy Splash released a new model of their brush called the Caddy Splash Pro. In this article, we will give our thoughts on whether the Caddy Splash Brush Pro or one of their bundles will be a better addition to your golf bag this year.

Caddy Splash Pro Brush

It is always nice to see a company respond to criticism and improve on their product. In this new model, Caddy Splash addressed the some of our main concerns with the previous brush model. In the review of the original Caddy Splash brush, our top concerns with the original brush were:

  • An inconsistent water delivery system that left you either needing more water or a towel; and
  • The chain on the brush occasionally getting snagged.

The new Caddy Splash Brush Pro model effectively solves these problems.

Water Delivery: The Caddy Splash Brush Pro has been redesigned and uses a button to dispense water onto the club from it’s new ergonomic handle, much like the GrooveIt Brush (its main competitor). This allows for a simple and consistent way to get the proper amount of water onto the clubface. This is a massive improvement over the previous brush and is now much more convenient and easier to use. The old method of squeezing the bottle led to inconsistent water usage and water waste, which meant more time filling the bottle back up. The new ergonomics of this handle actually makes the brush a bit more comfortable to use compared to the GrooveIt as well, as you need to hold the GrooveIt a bit awkwardly to access the water delivery button.

Upgraded Chain: Since using the Caddy Splash Brush Pro, I have not experienced a single instance of the chain on the brush snagging. Additionally, the chain’s position is more ergonomic (being attached to the end, rather than the middle). While GrooveIt‘s magnet system is still superior, the upgraded chain still makes the chain system a much closer contest. And, it must be said, the chain means you are less likely to lose the Caddy Splash due to your golf bag rubbing against something causing the magnet to dislodge.

So which brush is on my bag for 2025? I still plan to keep using the GrooveIt brush, but only because I personally prefer the magnet system. However, there are many people who prefer having the brush attached to the bag with a chain, preventing the brush from falling off the bag and getting lost. Admittedly, I have lost one GrooveIt brush already. If you prefer a chain system, or even if you have no preference at all, look no further for a golf brush and grab a Caddy Splash Brush Pro for the 2025 golf season. It is a great product and the improvements in ergonomics and design make it competitive, if not superior to its competition.

You can currently buy a Caddy Splash Brush Pro for $24.99, which is well worth the money.  The older model, which is the one previously reviewed, is now retailing for $19.99. For the nominal price difference, I highly recommend spending the extra $5 for the Pro model. Just recently, Caddy Splash began offering the brush in Ice White as well.

Final Thoughts

Lastly, Caddy Splash currently offers an option to bundle the new Caddy Splash Pocket Mag Golf Towel and the Caddy Splash Brush Pro for only $44.99. In my opinion, this is an excellent value, and if you need to update your golf bag accessories for the upcoming season, the decision to buy the bundle should be an easy one.
